34: Constellation Grid's Performance of "Beyond Stained Light" (Saturday, August 8)

Constellation Grid performed "Beyond Stained Light" a graphic score inspired by stained glass windows designed by Josef Albers. The directions were: "Look at this photo. Play the images that you imagine are on the other side of these stained glass windows." Constellation Grid's performance of "Beyond the Stained Glass" was part of a performance which happened during Blank Slate Festival at the Earth House Collective (in Indianapolis). The performers were Scott Deal (percussion), Dan Godston (trumpet), Alex Wing (bass), Michael Drews (laptop), & Jordan Munson (videography with MaxMSP Jitter).

To see the image of the stained glass windows designed by Josef Albers, please click here: http://www.albersfoundation.org/Albers.php?inc=Galleries&g=i080. These stained glass windows, which were installed in the the Sommerfeld House in Berlin (1920/21), have since been destroyed.
